The + : maintenance advice by ekosport

Before the big day, make sure you review your equipment. Your VTT should be prepared in advance to avoid any mishaps during the race.
The first step is to check that your VTT is in good condition. To do this, make sure your brakes are properly adjusted, as well as the wear level of each shoe and the wiring. Also check the condition of your wheels and tires, their state of wear as well as the presence of any foreign objects embedded in them that could cause a puncture during the race. It is also important to check the chain, to detect a damaged or deformed link; the crankset to be sure that the teeth are not abnormally damaged.

In short, to be ready for the big day, you will have to check the general condition of your VTT as well as the main elements, such as the brakes, the transmission, the chain... Of course, let's remember that the ideal is to take the time to do a short cleaning of your bike regularly.

Take along a small kit or pouch to attach to your bike. In this way, you'll be able to store the essential tools of every mountain biker (spare inner tube, tire iron, a set of Allen keys, puncture-proof spray, etc.).
