The star trail 3 km

• Distance: 3 km
• Difference in altitude: 460 m D+.
• Start 7:15pm - Church square
• Participation: individual
• Categories: Open to all healthy people born in 2012 and earlier (calendar year).
• Registration deadline: until Thursday, January 8, 2026 at 7:00 p.m. or subject to availability of race numbers.
• Number bib pick-up: Friday, January 9, 2026 from 2:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the Salle des Fêtes in La Clusaz.
• Maximum number of bibs: 400
• Level required:
  Beginner = I'm comfortable on green and blue runs and have done ski touring less than 5 times in my life.
  Confirmed = I'm comfortable on red runs and more, and I've done ski touring at least 5 times in my life.

The course is deliberately not circulated in advance, to ensure everyone's safety. It will be shared with registrants only when they collect their numbers.

The route takes in the ski slopes, where ski touring is forbidden day and night, whether the slopes are open or closed. A specific authorization is granted by the town hall for the day of the event only. This means that it is not possible to train on the route before the event.

We're counting on your understanding and respect for these rules: they ensure your safety (from collisions with other skiers, winch-operated groomers and several hundred meters of rope) and the event's longevity.

Required equipment

• A headlamp in working order for the duration of the event (new batteries and power > 450 lumens)
• For skis, bindings, boots, anti-backwards skins and poles: in accordance with the FFME regulations "Les règles du jeu des compétitions de ski-alpinisme - Saison 2025-2026" article 3.1 - Matériel pour les courses de ski alpinisme - pages 6 to 10 (available at the following link : https://www.ffme.fr/wp-content/uploads/2023/12/regle-jeu2024.pdf),
• A pair of gloves covering the whole hand up to the wrist and worn for the duration of the race,
• A bonnet or headband,
• A working, charged cell phone,
• A whistle
• A cup to keep you hydrated at refreshment points,
• The bib on the right thigh.

• Solid and liquid refreshments will be available for all participants at the finish.
• Safety and rescue on the course and at the finish
• A gift for the runner
