The trail pursuit
What if you put on your touring skis with us to discover La Clusaz under a starry sky?
The station has privatized a marked out space to us to have fun the time of an evening!
Set off on a brand-new format, the trace pursuit, to pull yourself up by your bootstraps and challenge the Aravis champions! You'll have just one goal: to avoid being caught all the way up by the champions who'll be setting off right after you! Stay tuned, we'll soon reveal the athletes you'll be competing against...
- Distance: 2,1 km
- Difference in altitude: 460 m D+.
- Start 8:15pm - Church Square
- Participation: individual
- Categories: Competition open to any suitably trained person born in 2011 and earlier (calendar year).
- Registration deadline: until Thursday, January 8, 2026 at 7:00 p.m. or subject to availability of race numbers.
- Number bib pick-up: Friday, January 9, 2026 from 2:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the Salle des Fêtes in La Clusaz.

The course is deliberately not circulated in advance, to ensure everyone's safety. It will be shared with registrants only when they collect their numbers.
The route takes in the ski slopes, where ski touring is forbidden day and night, whether the slopes are open or closed. A specific authorization is granted by the town hall for the day of the event only. This means that it is not possible to train on the route before the event.
We're counting on your understanding and respect for these rules: they ensure your safety (from collisions with other skiers, winch-operated groomers and several hundred meters of rope) and the event's longevity.
