How to choose the right trail shoes for le Bélier White?

In order to be well equipped to run in the snow, you should not neglect the choice of your trail shoes! They should be able to keep your feet warm and dry during the whole race. For this, you can opt for a pair equipped with a Gore-Tex membrane, both waterproof and warm. Be careful though, after a while, the membrane may let water in. In addition, since the shoes are waterproof, it will be difficult for moisture to evacuate!

Crampons will also be very important. On the day, the snow can be hard, even frozen, or on the contrary, rather fresh and soft! To optimize your grip, trail shoes must be equipped with good crampons. Alternatively, you can also use crampons to be added directly to your shoes, with the spikes positioned on the heel and on the front of the foot. These spikes will be maintained on the shoes thanks to an adjustable fastening system allowing an optimal maintenance. You should also be aware that running on snow will cause you to lose stability due to the slippery terrain. The use of crampons will allow you to partially overcome this problem.

Finally, consider waterproof gaiters, which will prevent snow from entering your shoes and keep your feet dry.

Find your trail shoes and crampons!

The little plus to have in trail to stay well hydrated throughout his race. This kind of water bottle belt will also allow you to carry with you some energy.
