More than 2000 participants challenged le Bélier this weekend!

Le Bélier Blanc has become a key event in the winter sports calendar of the Savoie Mont-Blanc region: a magical atmosphere under a starry sky, the Aravis mountains in the background, a lot of conviviality, the right recipe for a successful event.

More than 2000 participants, headlamps screwed on their heads, met this weekend in the village of La Clusaz to try to challenge le bélierand it's done!

Le Bélier Blanc has introduced a new feature for this 2023 edition: ski touring.

200 enthusiasts took the Start of one of the two formats that were added to the program: the starry trace, a night hike in all conviviality, and the trace pursuit, the timed format to pull each other and challenge the champions of the Aravis! The objective of this race was not to be caught up throughout the climb by the champions who left 2 minutes after the competitors. Gédéon Pochat, who just won a medal at the World Ski Mountaineering Championships in Spain, and Marie Pollet-Villard, a specialist in the discipline, played the game and gave their all to catch up with the skiers.

Mission accomplished for Marie who will have caught up with all her rivals.

As for Gédéon, he did not manage to catch up with the first 3 in the ranking.

A successful first evening, just like Bélier : friendly and authentic with a good tartiflette to warm up after arriving at the exhibitors village.

The Saturday evening was sold out: 1850 runners and hikers set off on the snowy trails of the Aravis.

At 7:15 pm, nearly 1000 runners took the Start of the 14 km Trail for 480 m of D+ and 530 m of D-, on a beautiful course to the Lake of Confins before a return to the village.

Snowshoe hikers also enjoyed the beautiful trails of the valley, in a relaxed atmosphere, through a course of 6 km.

Finally, the almost 550 competitors registered for the 8 km Trail closed the starting line, ready to challenge themselves on 310 m of D+ and 360 m of D-.

Everyone met at the arrival in the center of the village, to meet our partners on the exhibitors' village and to warm up around a tartiflette.
